Week 15 (4/11/2019 - 8/11/2019)

Task: Updating Chapter 4. This chapter includes the findings explanation and the data analysis. During develop this project, most important things that need to be carried out were the objectives. Result 1: Accuracy of Pulse Sensor Circuit Analysis To determine the accuracy of the pulse detector circuit, an experimental analysis was conducted on the pulse sensor circuit. In patient monitor and pulse sensor, heart rate measuring is compared between the pulse oximeter. Here is the contrast between the pulse oximeter and the pulse sensor for reading the heart rate. Comparison of Heart Beat Accuracy between Pulse Oximeter and Pulse Sensor between Five Students Result 2: Classifier Analysis with Audio Output The purpose of this experiment is to determine whether the heart rate status generated by the earphone using Cytron EasyMP3 Shield is consistent with the current heart status displayed through Serial Monitor on Arduino IDE. This is to ensure that the audio was pr...

Week 14 (28/10/2019 - 1/11/2019)

Friday 1 Nov 2019 2:45pm - 5;00pm Event: Top 20 Award and Best IEEE projects awards ceremony           :Workshop on Technical Paper Writing from FYP Thesis Top 20 were given for those who give the best idea and performance during FYP Exhibition Day as well as to the Best IEEE Project Award Ceremony. Congratulation to the winner. Next, workshop on technical paper writing from FYP thesis session. It requires do technical paper along with report thesis. In technical paper should have: 1. Top of the Pages Abstract Problem Statement Approach Result Conclusion/Discussion Keyword 2. Content Introduction Materials and Method Results Discussion Conclusion References

Week 13 (21/10/2019 - 25/10/2019)

Task: Updating Chapter 3 at the report as chapter 2 has been completed. In Chapter 3, the components and methods will be describing in the project. This chapter covers about block diagram, flowchart of project, the software and list of components and cost estimation this project. This chapter will detail more about each and every component’s function in this project. From the components, the explanation of coding will be explained too. This method shows on how to implement the coding with the component required to build up the project. Block Diagram of the Project The block diagram shows the flow of the project works, started from input, microprocessor and output. At the toggle switch, it has designed with the battery when blind persons only want the know the status of the heart rate via earphone.         Once the toggle switch has been turned on, Arduino Uno starts to process the information from the pulse sensor, and then with EasyMP3 Shield. Ea...

Week 12 (14/10/2019 - 18/10/2019)

Task: Completing Chapter 1 1.1 Introduction Health is a physical, mental and social well-being state in its entirety. A people need a healthy diet and must exercise regularly for a healthy life cycle. People also have to live in a nice shelter, sleep well and have good hygiene habits.          When one or more organs or systems of the body are adversely affected as they are interrupted in their normal functioning, that means their body are not healthy and have a disease. Disease means the body feel unwell or body dysfunction. That is why people need to be aware with their health. The most important thing is to check on body heart rate.         Heart rate device is really popular nowadays. People often use it during working, resting and also exercising. Even though most country has people with health problem, not forget there are also people that really care about their health by keep themselves fit most of the time. However, mos...

Week 11 (7/10/2019 - 11/10/2019)

Week 10 (30/9/2019 - 4/10/2019)

On 2 Oct 2019, a FYP 2 Briefing had been covering: FYP 2 Exhibition Day (Tips & Tricks) and Submission of Progress Report, Final Report & Technical Paper. Students were able to know the tips and how to present their projects during Exhibition Day. The speaker also brief on Submission of Progress Report, Final Report & Technical Paper. Next, a sketch has been made for this project. Google Sketch Up used to draw the casing of the project. A sketch need to be provided some Braille cell for guidance to the blind people.   Left View of the Project Right View of the Project

Week 9 (23/9/2019 - 27/9/2019)

Coding for ESP8266 NodeMCU also needed to send heart rate rate to the IoT. Since ThingSpeak has been selected for the IoT platform, the ThingSpeak library should be included in Arduino IDE. To connect the ESP8266 NodeMCU to ThingSpeak, the username and password of the Internet connection need to be the same so that the data can be transferred. In the coding, channel identification and “write API keys” should be filled so that ThingSpeak could be connected. Example of ThingSpeak Coding After edit the code, the heart rate data can be sent to the Thingspeak. The results were give a huge different as the pulse sensor was so sensitive. Real Time Heart Rate Measurement data displayed on ThingSpeak
